County Match against Cumbria

The junior girls played their first County Match of the season at Wynyard Golf Club today against Cumbria.  The weather was glorious, hot, sunny and still and the course was in brilliant condition.

Girls Golf Rocks on Tour

Appleby Bowl

The junior girls were at Darlington Golf Club today to play the Appleby Bowl. The theme was 'Royal Wedding' with the girls dressing in red white and blue. We had lots of flags, balloons and cupcakes. The weather was glorious and the mood was one of excitement and anticipation.

Girls Golf is Rocking

Girls Golf was rocking throughout Durham this weekend as Durham City, Eaglescliffe, Seaton Carew and South Moor held their taster sessions for young girls new to golf.

Clement Trophy Qualifier

The Clement Trophy Qualifier was played at Whitburn today in bright sunshine. The cold wind was a reminder that summer is not yet here.

Girls Golf Rocks on Tour

All of the girls who take part in the Girls Golf Rocks programme are invited to enter the three 'On Tour' Competitions.  These will be held on the Academy Courses at Seaton Carew, Eaglescliffe and Tyneside.

Girls Golf Rocks

Girls Golf Rocks programmes will be running at four clubs in County Durham for the third year running. Girls aged 5-18 years can attend free taster sessions followed by 5 coaching sessions. No experience is necessary!

Most improved golfer

Leah Davison-Pullan from Heworth Golf Club won the most improved golfer in 2017. She reduced her handicap from 32 to 20. A great achievement. Well done Leah! Keep up the hard work and practice.
