Girls Golf Rocks on Tour

All of the girls who take part in the Girls Golf Rocks programme are invited to enter the three 'On Tour' Competitions.  These will be held on the Academy Courses at Seaton Carew, Eaglescliffe and Tyneside.

Girls Golf Rocks

Girls Golf Rocks programmes will be running at four clubs in County Durham for the third year running. Girls aged 5-18 years can attend free taster sessions followed by 5 coaching sessions. No experience is necessary!

Most improved golfer

Leah Davison-Pullan from Heworth Golf Club won the most improved golfer in 2017. She reduced her handicap from 32 to 20. A great achievement. Well done Leah! Keep up the hard work and practice.

Golfer of the Year

Jessica Hall from Bishop Auckland Golf Club was the golfer of the year in 2017.

County Match against Yorkshire - Saturday 23rd September

The Junior County Girls had their final match of the year against Yorkshire at Blackwell Grange Golf Club. The team of Briony Bayles, Ella Crang, Erin Goodfellow, Amy Sutheran, Cara Weddell, Olivia Bainbridge, Neve Pearson and Ella Jackson had a magnificent win 7-1! All of the girls played well.

Junior County Championship, Brancepeth Castle Golf Club - Saturday 2nd September

The Junior County Championship was played today at Brancepeth Castle Golf Club. Conditions were perfect - warm sunshine and no wind. The brilliant scores reflected the conditions.

Clement Trophy Finals - 23rd August 2017

The Clement Trophy finals were played at Bishop Auckland Golf Club. After a tough battle the first semi final was won by Cara Weddell from Barnard Castle who beat Zara Alexander from Wynyard.

The Junior County Team of Ella Crang (Darlington), Amy Sutheran (Hartlepool), Maggie Whitehead (Ramside), Emily Baxter (Houghton le Spring), Abbi Wheatley (South Moor), Cara Weddell (Barnard Castle), Olivia Bainbridge (Barnard Castle) and Ella Jackson (Seaton Carew) travelled to Grange over Sands
