Charity Texas Scramble - Ravensworth

Many thanks to everyone who attended the Charity Texas Scramble at Ravensworth on Monday 10th July. Many raffle prizes were donated and tickets sold.

County Match Week 2017

County Match Week is being hosted by Lamcashire this year at Morecambe Golf Club. Durham had a very tricky draw and were up against Yorkshire on day 1. The see the results click here.

Putter Cover Found at Hartlepool

An Odyssey Metal-X putter cover was found at Hartlepool golf club during the DCLGA 4BBB competition held on Tuesday 16th May. If anyone has lost this please contact Marian Goodyear (treasurer) who has it.

Northern Schools Championship

Well done to the Durham juniors who played in the Northern Schools Championship at Whickham on Friday. Jessica Hall of Bishop Auckland won the singles and Durham won both girls and boys teams.

Medical Certificate Information - Data Sharing

In order that ladies do not have to supply medical certificates to other golfing organisations such as the Vets as well as to DCLGA, Committee have agreed that we will share our current list along with expiry dates with them.

Squad Announced for County Match Week

Following the County Championship played at South Shields this weekend the squad has been chosen to represent Durham at County Match Week being held at Morecambe Golf Club from Monday 19th June - Friday 23rd June 2017:-

Olive Edwards

DCLGA is sad to announce the passing of Olive Edwards at the grand age of 101 yrs.  Olive was a livetime member of Boldon Golf Club as well as being active in the County,Vets and Captains Society.  She was a past Vice-Captain of DCLGA but was unable to take on the Captain's post for family reason

Local Rule adopted.

DCLGA have adopted the Local Rule about 'Accidental movement of the ball on the putting green'.  This will become a Rule of Golf next year but England Golf are keen for all clubs and Counties to adopt it now.

LIFE STYLE MEMBERS

Ladies, who are 'Life Style' members at their clubs, ARE entitled to play in all DCLGA Competitions and Matches as long as they have paid their Association membership fee,( currently £5.00).
