Junior Champion Rebecca Horner breaks course record at Wynyard G.C.

Rebecca Horner had a 66 in a final at Wynyard Golf Club she was 7 under par.

Rebecca had 6 birdies, 1 eagle, 1 bogey and the rest were pars.   

Journal Durham Final

Congratulations to Vicky Thompson of Tyneside Golf Club who won the Durham Ladies' Journal Trophy after returning a nett 69 at the George Washington course.


Due to unforeseen changes at the club, tee off times have been altered. The first time will now be 13:40pm.

This means that all players will tee off approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes LATER than their original time.

Charity Competition

Castle Eden Golf Club hosted the Charity Greensome Competition on July 18th. Despite the extreme temperatures, players returned some inspiring scores. A list of winners can be found on the Fixtures page.

Journal and May Lowery Trophies

The Journal (Durham) Final will be played on July 26th at the George Washington Golf Club.

The May Lowery Final will be played on August 2nd at South Moor Golf Club.

The Charity Competition will be held at Castle Eden Golf Club on Thursday July 18th. this is a Greensome Stroke competition and all proceeds go to the Captain's Charity, Parkinsons Research NE.The draw is published on the Fixtures page.

Faye Sanderson has been successful in reaching the final in the Millenium Bowl.  Durham County ladies wish her every success in the Final tomorrow.


The Regional Final was played at Boldon Golf Club on July 10h. Congratulations to Sandra Taylor and Jean Lamb of Rudding Park in Yorkshire who won with a score of 39 points.
