Durham Girls took on Northumberland at Wearside Golf Club on Saturday 14 September 2024.
In blustery but warm conditions both teams played some extremely competitive golf with 5 out of the 8 matches going to the 18th. Durham came out on top with a 5 – 3 and retained the Northumberland and Durham Junior Shield.
The team consisted of Jess Dorritt, Millie Hixon, Kayla Hall, Morgan Bailey, Scarlette Richardson, Lily Anne Phillips, Emily Wakenshaw, Alice Atkinson and Emily Holgate.
A special mention goes to Jess Dorritt and Scarlette Richardson for winning their matches.
A massive thanks to all the girls who were fantastic all day and it was a pleasure to watch their golf.
A shout out to Wearside Golf Club who looked after us all day providing us with a fantastic course and excellent hospitality.
Lastly these matches could not go ahead without the support from all the parents and supporters plus our DCLGA committee members Marian Goodyear, Christine Mair and Chris Pascall and Captain Wendy Mabbott, a real big thank you to you all.
