Durham Girls took on a very strong Lancashire team at Bentham Golf Club on Sunday 18 August 2024.
In blustery conditions the team battled well but could not prevent a 6.5 – 1.5 defeat.
The team consisted of Millie Hixon, Jess Dorritt, Morgan Bailey, Caylin Million, Lily Anne Phillips, Lisa Conboy Bryson, Izzy Stokes and Evie Goodman.
A special mention goes to Lisa Conboy Bryson and Evie Goodman who made their debuts. Also, to Caylin Million for halving her game and Izzy Stokes for winning her match.
A massive thanks to all the girls who were fantastic all day and it was a pleasure to watch their golf.
A shout out to our Lancashire hosts Julie and Jackie who looked after us all day and all at Bentham who provided us with a fantastic course and hospitality.
Lastly these matches could not go ahead without the support from all the parents and supporters plus our DCLGA committee members Christine Mair and Chris Pascal and captain Wendy Mabbott, a real big thank you to you all.
