PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I am honoured and very proud to be President of the Association and thank the Past Presidents for my nomination.

 

I started to play golf at the age of 10 as a member of South Moor and soon became part of junior and ladies golf in Durham.  Through the Association’s support and encouragement over the years I have been able to experience county and national honours and other golfing opportunities both at club and county senior level, but perhaps more importantly wonderful memories and lifelong friendships.  Whether starting as a junior, or later in life, golf enables us to enjoy fresh air and exercise, the joys of hitting a good shot and the frustration of not, however, it does bring us together.

 

I am very much looking forward to supporting Sue, Wendy and the Committee, the membership and being part of the future of ladies’ golf in Durham.
